Day 1.Ulaanbaatar

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Upon arrival at Chinggis Khan International Airport in Mongolia, you will meetwith our driver. Transfer to your hotel, settling in.After freshening up, at 12 pm we start our first day around Ulaanbaatar, we will take you in the restaurant of your choice and then we will visit Gandan Monastery, the largest and one of the most important monastery of Mongolia. From here we will go to the National History Museum which tells the rich history of Mongolia. The heart of Ulaanbaatar, Sukhbaatar Square. Here we will see the Parliament House, National Opera and City Hall. In the evening, you will attend a performance of traditional dancing and khoomii (Mongolian throat singing). Overnight in hotel. ( lunch and dinner included.)

 

 Day 2. Uran Togoo volcano

In the morning we will drive to Uran Togoo Mountain, a dead volcano in Bulgan province of Mongolia. It is located about 60 km directly west of Bulgan city. Then we will drive to Khutag Under small town. We will see the ruins of the Uyghur city Baibalik, situated 14km west from the center of Khutag-Under Small town, Bulgan province.  Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s ger and tent camping. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.)

 

Day 3. Khuvsgul lake

In the morning we will drive to Khuvsgul Lake. The lake is 136 kilometers long and 36 kilometers wide, 265m deep and at 1645 m above sea level. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia and holds almost 70% of Mongolia’s fresh water and 0.4% of all the fresh water in the world. Well known as the Blue pearl of Mongolia because of its crystal clear water, 99 springs and rivers flow into the lake and just one river flows out of the lake the Eg River. Also, the lake is surrounded by alpine mountains, which are covered with thick taiga. Stay overnight in a nomadic family’s ger. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.)

Day 4. Khuvsgul lake

Explore flora and fauna. You will ride horses along the shore of the lake. On the way, we will visit a Tsaatan family, who breed reindeer. Some families bring their reindeer to the Shore of Khuvsgul Lake each summer, to partake in the tourist in industry. Have Mongolia traditional barbecue for dinner.( lunch and dinner included.)

Day 5. Shine-Ider Zuun lake

After breakfast head towards to Western region Arkhangay and on the way stopover near Zuun Lake. Along the way, you will see the beautiful scenery of mountain meadows and pine tree forests. Stay overnight with a local family. Optional camping out.

 

Day 6. Terkh white lake

Arrive in Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur / White Lake national park. Here you will stay on the bank of the White lake and visit the hundred-year-old Khorgo volcano crater and other natural sites. Stay overnight in a local family guesthouse.( lunch and dinner included.)

 

Day 7. Terkh white lake

Free day. After breakfast visit a yak herder’s family. Learn about their unique lifestyle and culture. There is an opportunity to ride a horse, fish, and hike. Stay overnight in a local family guesthouse.( lunch and dinner included.)

 

Day 8. Tsenkher hot springs

After breakfast drive to Tsenkher hot spring. It is one of the biggest Mongolia’s hot springs, has a temperature of 86 degree with flow rate and high alkalinity and relatively high amounts of floured. The hot spring is mostly used for relaxing and resort in your health.

 

Day 9. Elsen Tasarkhai Sand dunes

We will drive to Khugnu Nature Reserve which is where there are beautiful granite rock formations located in a semi-desert area which has features of Gobi sand dunes. Optional hiking and camel riding. Stay overnight at a local family.( lunch and dinner included.)

 

Day 10. Hustai national park and Ulaanbaatar

Head back to Ulaanbaatar. On the way stopover by Khustai National Park in order to see the Mongolian wild horses, Przewalski horses, which were re-introduced back to their homeland in 1993. At the park first, you will visit the Park museum and conference hall to get introduced to the flora and fauna of the National Park.( lunch and dinner included.)
